Values are placed after extensive market research. Depending on the appraisal, that can include contacting representing galleries, auction houses that have handled the work, as well as numerous price databases.
While we prefer to see all works on site, it is possible to perform a remote online appraisal with provided information.
No! No matter the value of the appraised item, the fee for an appraisal is based on a flat rate.
