A graduate of Loyola Blakefield and Towson University, Nate’s career is built on a foundation of rigorous scholarship and high level market experience. During his tenure at Hindman Auctions in Chicago, he played a key role in the Post War and Contemporary Art department, where he developed a deep expertise in both local movements, such as the Chicago Imagists and the Hairy Who, and the global market for blue chip artists including Joan Mitchell, Alexander Calder, Anish Kapoor, Willem de Kooning, and Martin Wong.

Throughout his time at Hindman, Nate managed the valuation, cataloging, and research of thousands of works, overseeing millions in annual sales. He worked extensively with world class institutions, private collectors, and professional advisors to evaluate, acquire, and divest art of significant importance. This experience handling high value assets provides him with a uniquely granular understanding of how the market shifts and how works are truly valued under pressure.

Today, Nate brings that institutional rigor back home to Maryland and is proud to serve as a trusted resource for prominent Baltimore museums, universities, and regional institutions, and private collectors helping them manage their collections.
