ABOUT
NB Fine Art was founded by Nate Brady as an independent venture to service clients' fine art appraisal and advisory needs in the Greater Baltimore Area. A graduate of Loyola Blakefield and Towson University, Nate moved to Chicago for his wife's graduate program and became deeply involved in the Post War and Contemporary Art department at Hindman Auctions. There, Nate developed a deep love for local art movements such as the Hairy Who and the Chicago Imagists, as well as artists Gertrude Abercrombie, John Wilde, Richard Hunt, and Ivan Albright. In addition, Nate handled works by well known 'blue chip' artists like Joan Mitchell, Alexander Calder, Anish Kapoor, Willem de Kooning, Bob Thompson, Martin Wong and more.
Throughout his time at Hindman, Nate worked with world class institutions and private collectors to evaluate, as well as sell and acquire art for their collection's needs. Nate has built connections throughout the art industry with galleries, advisors, dealers, institutions and insurers. The department sold millions annually, with each lot requiring cataloguing, research, and detailed condition reports. In addition to managing the property in numerous sales, Nate also evaluated and appraised thousands of artworks each year outside of auctions. With this experience handling high value artwork and appraisals, NB Fine Art is uniquely positioned to provide quality independent appraisals, or advisory, at a timeline that works best for our client's needs.
